Our services include rescuing, fostering, provision of food, medical care and safe sheltering of these creatures until they can be permanently placed into caring and responsible homes. Some animals may live out their lives at the Sanctuary, or foster locations, or be returned to their human companions. It’s International Cat Day! 🐱💕 In honor of one of the most ancient and beloved companion species, meet Big Boy and Foxy. They are a brother sister Maine Coon mix duo. Pictures really don’t do justice to their size! They’re cuddly, biscuit making expert, giants 🥰.

They will be up for adoption soon as a bonded pair to an indoor home. They love to be held and Big Boy has such an adorable chirpy purr. 🐾

If interested please contact 982-5110 and leave a voicemail. Mahalo ♥️🐾

Good news!!

Kohala was adopted from our Waimea Shelter!!

The sweet lady who found him and brought him in couldn’t stop thinking about him, so she and her 2 girls came back today to take him home!

We know Kohala will be loved so much with his new family and we couldn’t be more excited!

Also a very sweet angel of a lady from Kona came today and took 4 dogs who have been overlooked for a while & we are so stoked for her and her new fur babies!!
🙏🏼💜🐾🐶

We have many more animals looking for their forever homes, you can see them here https://rainbowfriends.org/waimea-shelter-vacating-need/

Franklin was adopted from us about three years ago, he was returned yesterday for issues with chewing. He’s very confused about why he’s back with us 😔 With proper enrichment, toys, and training, issues with chewing can be solved fairly easily. If you’re willing to give Franklin a chance and foster or adopt him please contact us and leave a voicemail at 982-5110. ❤️🐾

He’s approximately 35 pounds and would do best with a calm female dog friend, unsure how he is with cats and chickens. He walks super well on leash
